Zoopla Property Group announced today that it has acquired Globrix.com from A&N Media for an undisclosed sum. With immediate effect Globrix.com users will be re-directed to leading UK property website Zoopla.co.uk.
Launched in 2008, Globrix.com was originally positioned as a free-to-list property search engine directing traffic to estate agent websites. More recently, Globrix.com had adjusted its model under a commercial partnership to direct traffic and leads via the Zoopla Property Group portals.
This latest acquisition by Zoopla Property Group will further bolster its already impressive audience as it continues to increase its market share and closes in on Rightmove. It will also be a win for members of Zoopla Property Group who will now benefit from further exposure and more enquiries as a result of the deal.
In addition to owning the #2 (Zoopla.co.uk) and #3 (PrimeLocation.com) property websites in the UK, Zoopla Property Group also powers the property search for some of the UK’s biggest websites, providing its members with exposure to an unrivalled property audience in the UK. Zoopla Property Group’s exclusive partnerships include The Times, The Telegraph, Independent, Evening Standard, The Daily Mail, Homes & Property, AOL, MSN, Homes24 and many more.
Alex Chesterman, Founder & CEO of Zoopla Property Group said: “We have enjoyed a successful partnership with Globrix.com for the past few months and this acquisition now allows us to further extend our audience and brand reach for the benefit of our members.”
