In South Africa, the Acutts name is synonymous with property and success that dates back more than 160 years, making it the oldest property brand in the region, now in a pioneering move this brand has teamed up with Private Property by having all of its offices advertise on Private Property’s portal.
All Acutts offices now use Fusion, SA’s only true industry-owned agency software, which allows agents to list all their properties on multiple portals at the push of a button. The ability to reach potential customers faster and more directly is completely in line with Acutts’ status of being the most progressive agency brand as far as utilising online resources goes.
Jonathan Acutt, Director, Acutts Group says, “In all that we do, we strive to remain authentic, sincere and transparent – and these values are also inherent to Private Property’s way of doing business.”
Private Property’s sales manager, Mark Coetzee, is excited by the prospect of developing the relationship: “Acutts has chosen us as its online partner, and we know that we can carry out our commitment to deliver more quality leads to its agents.”
In June Private Property released a new version of its website – to much international acclaim. The site, dubbed the "Phoenix" by the developers, was initiated to re-imagine the company’s 10-year-old legacy website; it was built to accommodate more qualified information, more photos, and virtual and video tours, which all contribute to enhancing the browser experience.
With more than a million unique visitors being hosted and 700 000 quality leads having been delivered in January 2013 alone, the company expects that these figures will rise dramatically as a result.
“We set out to do what a portal is supposed to do: introduce sharing of great content and make it intuitive and seamless for the browsers to interact with the advertisers,” says Justin Clarke, Private Property CEO.
Acutt confirms Private Property’s confidence in its new site’s ability to heighten the public’s perception of his brand: “80% of house-hunters start their search online – that’s why this medium is so important. Our vision is to provide the easiest and most comfortable property experience, and online is the way to go.
Also in June, the South Africa-based property portal secured US$20-million (R205.53-million) from Australian-listed jobs portal SEEK, and the Private Property‘s iPad app, achieved the top position of the South African app store’s free ‘general’ category within a few days of launch.
