Spain's second largest city, and the capital of Catalonia, Barcelona was founded by Phoenicians and Carthaginians, after which the Romans arrived in the 1st century B.C., then the Visigoths followed by the Moors, who remained for 100 years until the Franks conquered the city again... you get the picture. Now, it’s PPW’s turn to occupy Barcelona!
Besides having hosted 1992 Summer Olympics as well as world-class conferences and expositions and many international sport tournaments, the Catalan city boasts an incredibly rich cultural heritage - renowned for the architectural works of Antoni Gaudí and Lluís Domènech i Montaner - and is currently a major tourist destination. Huffington Post recently began an article about the city with “If you go to Barcelona, you’re gonna party. It feels like the party never ends.” The city has quite the reputation for showing ‘a good time’ to its visitors. Hope to see you there.
