The National Association of Realtors (NAR) has rolled out a private health insurance exchange which features plans complying with the United States' new health care law popularly known as "Obamacare," offering Realtors who may be lacking insurance, an option.
According to the NAR 2013 Member Profile, many Realtors actually do not receive health coverage from their employer. On an average, one out of three Realtors reported paying for their health coverage from their own pockets, an approximate one out of four agents were covered through a family member or spouse, whereas a staggering one out of three have no insurance coverage at all.
Considering the benefits of the peace of mind which one gets when they have health insurance, this is a great "security blanket" which NAR has offered its members.
