Eleven of Australia’s leading real estate agents have joined together to launch a unique, industry owned property portal, reviewproperty.com.au.
reviewproperty.com.au was initially launched in late 2012 with more than 400,000 property listings nationally in partnership with Domain and has now been re-launched with hyper-local content to help buyers find not just a home, but a lifestyle.
reviewproperty is operated by Metro Media Publishing, which also publishes 15 high quality lifestyle magazines and local newspapers in Melbourne that are distributed to 1 million homes weekly. MMP also manages the sale of all Domain products in Victoria.
MMP now offers the best real estate media solutions in the market for both agents and vendors combining Domain, domain.com.au, The Weekly Review lifestyle magazines, local newspapers and now reviewproperty.com.au.
The Chief Operating Officer of MMP, Mr Trent Casson, said the relaunched website recognised that the online property experience lacked broad content that provided a buyer with in-depth understanding of the suburb where they were looking to buy.
“There are websites which do a good job of listing property, but there is a real gap in the market for meaningful information on a specific suburb beyond price,” he said.
“We are using our quality content to provide a unique user experience. We can help inform and educate people about individual suburbs; not just the property and real estate information but the local schools, restaurants, medical services, even the local mechanic.”
Mr Casson said in addition to the hyper-local lifestyle content, the relaunched site included a number of major industry initiatives:
- Real time auction results by suburb as they happen;
- Weekly market wrap videos by region;
- The opportunity for agents to list properties before other sites.
“None of this could have been achieved without the co-operation of our agent partners, a truly unique marketing advantage.”
A multi-million dollar consumer marketing campaign to support the new site will begin later this month.
Mr Casson said the website was being relaunched in conjunction with the free equity participation offer to Victorian agents.
Agents will receive equity in the site based on volume and value of listings.
“This is a genuine, industry-owned property portal and it is offering unique benefits to agents, vendors and buyers,” he said.
