After five years as Chief Executive Officer of Hemnet.se, Carl-Henrik Borg, has submitted his resignation. Borg will be leaving Hemnet.se at the end of July of this year. The search is already underway to find his successor.
“I am very thankful for my time at Hemnet and proud of what we have achieved together. It has been a privilege to build a strong Hemnet Sweden's largest housing site along with talented employees. We have jointly achieved all the goals we set when I started and it feels like a natural time to hand over to a new ability,” said Carl-Henrik Borg, CEO of Hemnet.
When he came onboard with Hemnet.se, the company was composed of only two employees, the staff has grown to 45 since then. Borg has been credited in doubling website traffic to 2.1million UVs a week and turnover has risen from SEK22 million (USD$3.36 million) to SEK 120 million (USD$18.3 million).
“Carl-Henrik is a highly skilled and well-liked business leader, during his five years as CEO, he strongly contributed to making Hemnet the market leader. We wish him all the best in his new challenges” said Per Johnler, Hemnet Chairman.
