RE/MAX Portugal, part of the world’s biggest- selling international real estate agency group, has named as its exclusive Chinese marketing partner Juwai.com, the No. 1 Chinese international real estate website.
This announcement comes in the wake of similar partnerships between Juwai.com and RE/MAX Australia and RE/MAX New Zealand.
Chinese investor interest in Portugal in Jan and Feb 2014 was 928% higher than in the same period in 2013, according to user data on Juwai.com. The introduction in October 2012 of a program that provides residency and visas in exchange for €500,000 investments in Portuguese property is one reason for this increase.
RE/MAX is Portugal’s market leader, with more than 180 offices and 3,300 real estate agents. Internationally, the RE/MAX network employs more than 90,000 agents in over 90 countries.
Juwai.com has been since 2011 the No. 1 website for Chinese who are buying property outside of China. It markets 2.4 million listings in 53 countries to a monthly audience of 1.5 million. 82% of its users are mainland Chinese.
Under the terms of the new agreement between the two companies, Juwai.com will market in Chinese every one of RE/MAX Portugal’s listings.
RE/MAX Portugal agents will also be able to upgrade their office and agent branding on Juwai.com, as well as their listings. Available upgrades include luxury branding, additional agent profiles, additional translation services, email direct marketing, Chinese-language property brochures, advertorials and Feature Property listings.
Manuel Alvarez, President of RE/MAX Portugal said: “There are 643,000 millionaires in China, their numbers are growing at a rate of 14% per year and they have a true appetite for Portuguese real estate."
Juwai.com Co-CEO Simon Henry said: “RE/MAX Portugal is doing more than any other agent network in Portugal to market to Chinese buyers. This will mean more enquiries and possibly faster sales times and higher prices for RE/MAX clients.
“Juwai.com doesn’t just translate and advertise your listings in Chinese. We help agents build relationships with wealthy Chinese who are otherwise hard to reach.”
