Juwai.com launched a new consumer-oriented website this week, designed according to western and Chinese feng shui principles.
The number 1 Chinese international property portal also relaunched this week its real estate industry-focused website, list.juwai.com.
“We just launched the new Juwai.com for Chinese consumers and list.juwai.com for Australian and other agents and developers," said Andrew Taylor, co-CEO of Juwai.com.
Taylor said that Westerners may find it strange to talk about using feng shui on a website.
"Feng shui is all about the harmony of an environment. It's about maximizing the happiness of that environment's users. Those are important goals on any website.
The following features of the new website, Taylor said, improve the positive flow of chi and are good feng shui:
* Bright pages that are clean and have plenty of white space
* Simple graphic design
* Absence of multimedia gimmicks
* Attractive, clean images and graphics
* Easy navigation
The new home page gives international agents better exposure to Chinese consumers, while new features are designed to help Chinese buyers more easily navigate the site and find the information they need.
The new website also makes it easier to consumers to access property listing pages. The company's goal was to shorten the time and clicks it takes to search for homes on Juwai.com.
Juwai.com also features enhanced global news and advertorials. The company says it has made the latest topics, featured news, guides and consumer FAQs all accessible right from the home page.
"That gives our users quicker access and further empowers Chinese buyers with information about real estate markets worldwide," said Taylor.
Dedicated sections also feature advertorials placed by agents looking to drive attention to their listings and brand on Juwai.com.
Juwai.com says it will launch more features and tools later this year.
