Portland-based property portal, HouseHappy, announced that Ekaterina Walter is joining the company as Chief Marketing Officer. A digital marketing innovator with 15 years of experience, Ekaterina has implemented and executed global strategies for a diverse mix of Fortune 500 companies, including Intel and Accenture.
The executive hire comes on the heels of continued growth at Househappy, including an increase to 2 million property listings on the search portal. With founder Kevin McCloskey’s experience as a real estate broker and Ekaterina’s expertise in digital marketing, Househappy is poised to be a leader in the real estate industry’s next wave of innovation.
“Innovative solutions that solve real problems—that’s what I look for in any new technology. And that’s what drew me to the company,” says Ekaterina. “Househappy solves an issue that no other portal has solved—bringing data ownership and integrity back to real estate search while empowering an engaging photo-driven experience for buyers.”
“There’s an incredible opportunity to innovate in the real estate industry and take the search experience to the next level,” says McCloskey. “Ekaterina is a recognized authority on developing worldwide business and marketing strategies aimed at accelerated growth and building a successful brand. I’m happy she is joining the team at such an exciting and critical time.”
Ekaterina joins Househappy from Branderati, where she was a co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer. She’s a Wall Street Journal bestselling author and a sought-after international speaker. One of her first public appearances on behalf of Househappy will be a keynote at Inman RE Connect, one of the largest industry conferences in the U.S.
“From the beginning, Househappy’s vision has attracted amazing talent,” says McCloskey. “We look forward to Ekaterina leading the team and adding a unique perspective as we create a new standard for real estate search.”
