Leading Chinese portal Juwai.com has claimed a victory in the battle for the eyeballs of Chinese international property hunters, with twice the page rank and seven times the number of pages indexed by the all-important Chinese property portal, Baidu.com.
A higher page rank is better than a lower one, and Juwai.com has the highest Baidu page rank of any Chinese-language international property portal in the world -- including world.soufun.com.
That high ranking improves Juwai.com's position in search results, drives more Chinese property hunters to the website and can result in more views and inquiries for agents.
Juwai.com's Baidu page rank is 4. Competitor world.soufun.com has a page rank of only 2. Meiaoju has a page rank of 1. The REA Group's myfun has a page rank of 0.
With 71% of the search market in China, Baidu is more popular with Chinese users of the web than is Google with Americans. Google has only 68% of the US search market.
Another measure of Juwai.com's online leadership is the number of pages indexed by Baidu. Pages that are not indexed are very difficult for users to find.
