The Hitwise Experian numbers are out. Let's see how the portals are stacking up in Brazil at the mid point during the year.
During the month of May, VivaReal and ZAP Imóveis were close, but VivaReal once again pulled away in the month of June and the trend continues in the first two weeks of July, where the forecast shows VivaReal with 21.81% and ZAP Imóveis with 16.94%. This is the largest gap since VivaReal passed ZAP Imóveis in January.
During the month of June, VivaReal continued to lead the time onsite metric with 9 minutes and 18 seconds on average per visitor. ZAP Imóveis and Imovelweb were about equal at 7 minutes and 27 seconds and 7 minutes and 24 seconds respectively.
VivaReal continued to add listings at a more accelerated rate than both its main competitors.
Lastly, with regards to 'paid' vs 'organic traffic,' it appears that all companies have increased their online marketing spend. The most dramatic increase came from Imovelweb. According to Hitwise, 78.26% of its traffic is paid. ZAP Imóveis has 62.88% while VivaReal only has 26.69% paid.
