ZAP has acquired Pense Imóveis website - the leader in online real estate classifieds in the South part of Brazil. With this acquisition, the company of Globo Group takes another step of its expansion, seeking partners with acknowledged excellence in their regions.
The amounts of the transaction were not released. But the acquisition of the website from Rio Grande do Sul implies the arrival of all 65 employees of Pense imóveis and 4 new offices. According to Eduardo Schaeffer, ZAP’s CEO “this move reassures ZAP’s commitment in reaching the leadership in the segment of online classifieds in all Brazilian states, in a clear demonstration of fast growth of the website”.

We are fully committed with the funding of its expansion in the Brazilian market in the coming years”.
The acquisition of Pense Imóveis reinforces ZAP’s strategy to approach real estate agencies and brokers in southern Brazil, responsible for over 20% of the total of Brazilian agents and thus show how the main provider of adds, information and services of the real estate market in all regions of Brazil. “With all expansion effort, our number of users and advertisers will increase further, consolidating ZAP as a national reference platform. We offer full and qualified service, in addition to the best list of properties for rent and for sale”, Schaeffer noted.
Pense Imóveis will keep the team, brand and its website. Also, it will immediate start marketing campaigns in off and online medias to further leverage the audience and generate better results for its customers.
Currently ZAP has 17 offices spread out by 10 Brazilian states. It is planned for this year the opening of other 2 branches, and it is not discarded the acquisition of new websites in 2015.
ZAP, which currently uses 330 professionals throughout Brazil, expects to close 2014 with 30% growth on revenue in relation to 2013, after having achieved R$ 60 million last year. To support all accelerated growth, the company plans to reinforce the strategy of products for mobile devices, intelligence and market teams, operations, quality and off and online marketing. Everything to continue providing to the market greater audience, the best information and services with agility and reliability, such as the FipeZAP index, main thermometer of the national real estate market. For 2015 the purpose is to grow 45% on revenue.
