Maponics, a leader in geospatial data, has appointed Peter Moeykens as the newest member of the senior management team. Moeykens will be joining the company as the Vice President of Technology and Innovation in February 2015.
Moeykens comes to Maponics with over 25 years of experience in building state-of-the-art cartographic database production and maintenance systems. Throughout his notable career, Moeykens has been a leader in pioneering and implementing progressive tools that feature advanced technologies such as distributed editing, transactional map updates, conflation, work flow management, and the use of feature level metadata to prevent regression. As a hands-on developer working with teams all over the world, Peter brings a wealth of knowledge to Maponics.

In addition to holding key roles such as Global Director of Database Engineering for TomTom, Pete also held the position of Technical Fellow for TomTom's Location-Based Services product unit where he spearheaded the effort to create a modern developer's portal to expose TomTom's cloud-enabled Location-Based Services platform.
During the last twelve months, Maponics has experienced considerable growth as the company introduced new products to market, including the most recent announcement of Maponics Communities™, a new generation of spatial data - bringing together well-known flagship product Neighborhood Boundaries with micro boundaries including +Residential Boundaries, +Hospitals, and +School Grounds.
