Onthehouse.com.au has announced that major real estate franchise networks PRDnationwide and Elders are adding listings to its site, and has also released its First Half 2015 (1H15) results report revealing that over three million property profiles are being viewed every month – highlighting Australia’s hunger for property data and insights.
As two of Australia’s leading real estate players, with nearly 500 agencies between them operating across all state capitals, the signings of PRDnationwide and Elders further cements Onthehouse.com.au’s position in the market as the nation’s number one property data platform.
The 1H15 results report revealed that traffic to Onthehouse.com.au is continuing to build, with a 63 per cent traffic increase documented from the period of June 2014 to January 2015, and a 49 per cent year-on-year (YOY) growth in page views.
Attesting that the increased traffic is translating into user engagement, the report also revealed a 162 per cent YOY increase in listings page views (Jan 15 PCP) and a 22 per cent YOY increase in consumer membership (Jan 15 PCP), with 93 per cent of those members actively engaged with the site’s content.
Chief Operating Officer for Onthehouse.com.au, Mr. Andy Antonini, said that the website’s objective of combining extensive data on over 12.5 million Australian properties with user-friendly insights is what’s driving the growth.
“When you consider what the consumer is looking for right now, data on its own isn’t enough, insights and intelligence need to be available to give perspective and further value to the figures - and that is where the local agent and property manager is key,” Mr. Antonini said.
“Our research shows that consumers want context and understanding around what the data means, which is why we want to connect them with their local agent. Agents, on the other hand, are hungry for an environment that allows them to connect with potential vendors and investors early in their decision-making cycle to help cut down on competition at appraisal time, and therefore help reduce the negotiations around commissions.
“We see the platform and data that we provide as facilitators to these agent/consumer conversations – connecting both parties to what they need. The platform provides a simple, cost-free solution for agents and property managers to ‘demonstrate’ their success to those homeowners and investors looking to buy and sell in their local area. And as our traffic grows and we close in on receiving two million unique visitors a month - the number of potential clients for sales agents and property managers also grows,” continued Mr. Antonini.
National Marketing Manager of PRDnationwide, Kate Stock, said: “We are pleased to upload our offices’ listings to Onthehouse.com.au in order to expose the listings to a greater number of potential vendors and buyers across Australia. We look forward to working with Onthehouse.com.au to enhance the success of our offices.”
