Juwai.com has announced its first 2015 China Agent Summit event will take place in Shanghai this May.
The Summit is a chance for international real estate agents to connect with mainland Chinese agents who specialize in real estate and emigration to build a referral network and learn more about working with Chinese buyers.
The No. 1 Chinese international property portal says events like its Agent Summit account for a growing share of revenue. When Juwai.com ran its first Agent Summit in March of 2014, it was the first agent-to-agent event of scale ever held in China.
Western agents from countries like the USA, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Germany attend the events, as do approximately 100 Chinese agents.
Past speakers include Dennis Ye, Executive Director of Strategy & Corporate Development at Fosun Property Holdings. Fosun is the largest privately-owned conglomerate in Mainland China and in February purchased French resort operator Club Med’s global leisure empire.
Fosun has also acquired One Chase Manhattan Plaza in New York, Lloyds Chambers in London, Citigroup Center in Tokyo and 73 Miller Street in Sydney, Australia.
"A very good event, which helped us understand the potentials in China for the product types which we’re involved,” said Shaun Brogan, with Colonial Property of the UK, after attending an Agent Summit in 2014.
The Agent Summit “was incredible,” said Colin Lightfoot, of Lightfoot-Harrison Real Estate of the USA. "The contacts we’ve made in this event alone is worth a lifetime of contacts."
"Undoubtedly the best summit I’ve ever been to,” said Marian Ross, of Pelican Bay Ltd. in St. Kitts & Nevis. "The information was valuable, the presentations on point – a perfect networking opportunity."
