Concept Multimedia, a subsidiary of Spir Communication, just purchased Rodacom - a company specializing in real estate web solutions. The consolidation trend continues in the publishing sector of real software. After Septeo and Fnaim who bought the Log'in Space and GPI companies Elephantbird for one and for the other, it was the turn of Concept Multimedia. The subsidiary of Spir Communication today announced the acquisition of all the shares of the company Rodacom Grenoble, whose solutions Connect'immo Plus, Sphere and WebSEO are deployed in nearly 700 real estate agencies and trade associations. According to Cyril Janin, CEO of Concept Multimedia, which operates Logic-immo.com."Unlike our competitors, we were yet to set foot into the world of real estate software. So we decided to do something and to off our customers an additional service to our first activity of portal real estate ads, in order to support professionals in their digital transformation".
Strong commercial synergies
The software publishing market is particularly fragmented. Starting last spring, Concept Multimedia met a dozen companies before focusing on Rodacom.
"This company has 12 years of experience, which leads us to believe that his bundled software is robust. Moreover, as the majority of its customers are located in the Rhone-Alps, we have seen immediately the leverage effect there might be on our sales network," explains Cyril Janin.
This acquisition will enable Concept Multimédia to multiply its firepower. "Logic-Immo.com has a field sales force of 100 in 33 cities in France, however, software solutions are products that do not sell well over the phone. The services developed by Rodacom will thus be able to benefit from additional relay and a field animated throughout France, with the weight of our sales force, which will then be tenfold."
With this acquisition, the group will also be able to offer a broader service offering to its customers. "We now have the winning product set including creating websites of real estate agencies, the acquisition campaign creation on Google and the advertising retargeting through our recent partnership with Criteo," sums up Cyril Janin.
Sales up 57% over 4 years
Spir Communication has engaged in an asset disposal strategy for several years: it sold its 50% stake in Le Bon Coin to Norwegian Schibsted, 51% of its subsidiary Car & Boat Media to Axel Springer Digital Classifieds Holding and that part of the IPS Printing. Putting their hand on the family business Rodacom, which generated sales of € 1.5 million sales in 2014, the message is clear.
