The German Federal Cartel Office and the Austrian Federal Competition Authority have approved the merger of Immowelt and Immonet. Now a comprehensive integration plan for the two real estate portals can be developed under the umbrella of the Immowelt Holding company. Carsten Schlabritz (previously CEO Immowelt AG) will become CEO of the new company. The other board members are: Juergen Roth (CTO, previously CTO Immowelt AG), Ulrich Gros (CFO, previously CFO Immowelt AG) and Philip Schulze (COO, previously COO of the Immonet Group).
Axel Springer Digital Classifieds holds a majority of 55 percent in the new joint venture company with offices in Nuremberg and Hamburg; in addition, the Ippen publishing group and the Rheinische Post Mediengruppe will continue to participate as strategic partners, along with the two co-founders of Immowelt AG.
The two Immonet Managing Directors Christian Maar (49) and Clemens Trautmann (38) will be leaving Immonet as planned on 30 April 2015.
