Realtor.com will host an online opportunity for users to access a bonus entry in the HGTV Dream Home Giveaway 2016. Realtor.com is a premier sponsor of HGTV's promotion of its 20th annual Giveaway, which runs from Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 at 9 a.m. ET through Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016 at 5 p.m. ET.
The HGTV Dream Home Giveaway bonus entry provides users an extra chance, by visiting realtor.com, to win the grand prize offered by HGTV in the sweepstakes – a home renovation collaboration among the world's leading design visionaries set along Florida's Merritt Island shoreline, featuring the latest in architectural details and luxurious furnishings. It also includes a 2016 GMC Acadia Denali, $250,000 in cash and a new boat.
"The HGTV Dream Home Giveaway is a perfect fit with what we do at realtor.com to help people discover and create their perfect home," said Nate Johnson, chief marketing officer of Move. "We provide buyers with the right information, tools, advice and connections to real estate professionals that equip them with the best chance to find their own personal dream home."
The sponsorship aligns two large national brands to provide sound information and valuable advice for audiences looking to find the perfect home and make it their own. HGTV is the leader in home and lifestyle programming, distributed to more than 96 million households, and one of cable television's top-rated networks.
Realtor.com will be featured across HGTV programming related to the HGTV Dream Home Giveaway 2016, including the premiere of the special on January 1 and promotions in HGTV Magazine and on HGTV.com. Throughout the Giveaway, realtor.com will be promoted as the online destination where participants can access the Giveaway's bonus entry opportunity during the promotional period. In addition to program-specific advertising, realtor.com will continue to promote its "Real Estate in Real Time" campaign, featuring actress/producer/director Elizabeth Banks.
"When HGTV decided to make the HGTV Dream Home 2016 a remodel for the first time, it made sense to align with realtor.com," said Ron Feinbaum, general manager and SVP for Scripps Networks Interactive. "Every dream remodel begins with finding the right property and making it your perfect home, so adding them as a sponsor gives another resource for our viewers."
