Online classifieds business Quikr has launched Indic language support on its platform starting with Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi and Gujarati languages. Users can switch the language for browsing, searching, posting ads and interacting with buyers and sellers.
The new option is available at the top left of the website as a ‘language’ button, which users can use to switch to other available languages. Interestingly, on switching to a vernacular language, clicking on the search box pops up a vernacular language keyboard. This is immensely useful, as users can’t be expected to have physical Hindi/ other language keyboards.
