The tool features indicative costs for each property and includes likely mortgage or rental payments, energy costs, water bills and council tax charges.
The UK property portal is supporting the launch of the new tool with a TV ad, part of its ongoing national advertising campaign 'Knowing More' which began at the beginning of this year.
The TV ad will be aired in prominent viewing slots including Coronation Street, Googlebox, Lewis and property favourite Grand Designs and will be complemented by national radio and outdoor advertising.
Zoopla says the ad features a house detective, Dan, who "really knows what he’s doing when it comes to property".
Property Group Chief Marketing Officer Gareth Helm says Zoopla came back to TV earlier this year with a "big bang" delivering record levels of brand awareness which is of significant benefit to members.
"This new ad campaign will further increase brand exposure and leads for our agent members and our new running costs tool will also help to better qualify house hunters," Helm says.
