One of Sri Lanka's Leading property websites, LankaPropertyWeb.com has moved to facilitate an improved user experience for mobile devices by re-designing its site to responsively self-optimise for multiple screen sizes.
Sri Lanka's property market has seen desktop internet usage quickly overtaken by mobile access. Mobile device users currently exceed 2.5 million, representing 57 per cent of total internet users.
LankaPropertyWeb says in the nine years it has been in operation it has carved a name for itself using a business model that helps users sell and rent their properties faster.
The site allows the posting of ads for free, which in Sri Lanka is a unique feature enabling the company to maintain its competitive edge.
Managing Director Daham Gunaratna says LankaPropertyWeb has pioneered innovation in the Sri Lankan online real estate industry since its launch in 2007.
He says the company is keen to maintain its focus on creating best practice access for its users.
"LankaPropertyWeb was initiated with the vision of developing a comprehensive portal that helps buyers and sellers find, sell or rent their properties faster and for free, with over 150,000 ads published on the site thus far," Gunawatna says.
"With the evolution of the internet usage among Sri Lankans, the site currently receives over 4.5 million monthly page views, the highest number of visits for a property website in Sri Lanka.
"Taking that vision forward, we have unveiled the latest technology to the Sri Lankan property market," he says.
"Users access the Internet via a host of devices and by enhancing our site to become a responsive site they are assured of the best user experience from whatever device they access.”
Gunaratna adds the company is confident of exponential growth in 2016 with the momentum expected as a result of the launch of the mobile responsive site, introduction of phone apps and a host of other services that will strengthen the site’s online and offline presence.
