News Corp's online real estate subsidiary in the US Move Inc has integrated cost prediction data from home services marketplace HomeAdvisor to enhance listings on its website Realtor.com.
The company says HomeAdvisor's True Cost Guide will provide homeowners and dreamers with valuable information about average national and local project costs and trends in home repair and improvement projects.
HomeAdvisor, which collects all the data for its True Cost Guide from real homeowners, delivers consumers with local project costs for over 300 types of home projects.
Last year, over 10 million homeowners used HomeAdvisor to find a professional for their home projects.
Service professionals in HomeAdvisor's network undergo a criminal and financial background check prior to joining, and are customer-rated and reviewed.
Realtor.com users will now also have access to HomeAdvisor's nationwide network of pre-screened service professionals to help them complete their home projects.
"Home buyers and sellers rely on realtor.com for the most comprehensive and accurate real estate listing information," said Move executive vice president of sales Ray Picard.
"Our new agreement with HomeAdvisor helps us put even more real estate-related information at their fingertips, no matter if they are looking for a home or want to improve the one they own."
HomeAdvisor's senior vice president of business and corporate development Adam Burrows adds the deal extends a trusted resource to realtor.com users looking to gain the best returns on their biggest investments — their homes.
To access local home improvement costs, get up to speed on renovation trends, or read reviews on home professionals, realtor.com users can simply click the HomeAdvisor True Cost Guide widget on the right-hand side of any 'recently sold'or 'not for sale' home listing.
