REA Group has seen 30 per cent in traffic to its Agent Profiles platform driven by the Agent Search capability it launched earlier in the year according to Realestatebusiness.com.au (REB).
Agent Profiles was launched in December 2014 as a platform to help agents build their brand online and generate leads.
According to the report, which quotes Realestate.com.au executive general manager Andrew Rechtman, the group has recorded more than 7 million visits to the profiles in the past year.
Rechtman says since launching Agent Search, there has been a 30 per cent increase in traffic to Agent Profiles, "meaning that our customers are getting noticed more often".
The report says the success of the new search capability and platform together reflect the importance of a robust digital presence for agents.
“Recognising your digital presence as a valuable asset is critical," Rechtman tells REB.
"Having a strong personal brand online can improve your visibility and recognition in market, help you build a strong rapport with your audience and remain top-of-mind."
REA Group has partnered with the upcoming 2016 REB Awards including sponsorship of a brand new category, Digital Presence of the Year.
The new category willl recognise those agents that are maximising their digital footprint across a number of platforms – including their Agent Profile – to win more listings and sell more properties.
