Mumbai-based real estate platform Housing.com has unveiled Housing News, a news platform for analysis on the real estate sector, Medianama reports.
According to the report, the company says it will cover breaking news, market trends, legal, home finance, taxation information, expert interviews and lifestyle information in the real estate sector.
While the current news section delivers individual original articles, it predominantly lists content sourced from the Press Trust of India or consultants.
"Overall the website has pretty interesting information like fineprint in joint ventures in real estate and provides category listings to read articles about specific topics, making it easy to browse," the Medianama report states.
"This move makes sense for Housing as the content it has is useful for users looking to make property purchases."
In March last year the Housing.com acquired realty-focused online community Indian Real Estate Forum (IREF) for Rs 8 crore. The forum had about 1.5 lakh members at the time.
As such, Housing is overall trying to be a centralised platform for property based discussions, information and search, Medianama says.
