Brazilian property portal VivaReal has signed an agreement with property research and analytics company Geoimovel aiming to generate price history data and offer real estate market trend reports.
Geoimovel claims to have the largest and most complete real estate database in Brazil.
The company is present in more than 520 cities that represent 76 per cent of Brazil's GDP. The company follows the launch of sales of more than 8,000 developers in Brazil and has data from more than 100,000 real estate sales transactions used.
Geoimovel also offers tools and products for banks, investment funds, municipalities and all institutions who collaborate with or are linked to the property market.
VivaReal CEO and founder Brian Requart says the partnership will enable the two companies to create the best source of housing market information in the country.
"VivaReal already conducts research and studies," Requart says."We release monthly real Estate Market data generated by our Data Analytics team.
"We realized a partnership with market intelligence firm leader Geoimovel would facilitate the consolidation of a vast volume of data, which is a great opportunity to further improve the quality of information we offer," he says.
Geoimovel CEO Marcelo Molari adds merging the two databases will result in research with new results.
"Unlike some indexes generated using forecast values, we will provide information based on actual transactions," he says.
In November last year, VivaReal acquired stake in technology company Suahouse.com which serves national construction companies like Alphaville, Rossi, Plano and Plano, YouInc, Cury, Mota Machado and João Fortes.
