News Corp subsidiary Move Inc's online property destination in the US Realtor.com has partnered exclusively with Patch.com, a local independent news and information platform.
Aiming to connect Patch's readership with local homes for sale the, Realtor.com says the agreement will offer users in more than 900 local and hyperlocal communities access to the most accurate and up-to-date real estate information.
In addition to the realtor.com neighborhood widget of open houses and for-sale homes, Patch readers users will gain access to news and advice articles empowering them to "dream" as well as find and own their perfect home.
Realtor.com chief marketing officer Nate Johnson says realtor.com content includes a range of articles from home buying and selling tips to the latest celebrity real estate trends. The widget links back to realtor.com for full property information.
"Just like the news Patch delivers, real estate is local, and nobody delivers more accurate real estate listings and local data consistently across each market than realtor.com," Johnson says.
"This agreement pairs a leader in local market news with a leader in real estate information to keep people informed about one of the most important aspects of their community – the homes within it."
Patch vice president of operations Damian Noto adds the site's readers have always had a keen interest in real estate content and listings.
