Axel Springer Group real estate portal operator SeLoger.com in France has appointed general manager Bertrand Gstalder its new CEO effective August 1.
Gstalder will take over from Roland Tripard who has headed the company since 2008 and will leave his post at the end of July.
Axel Springer SE President of Marketing and Classified Ad Models Andreas Wiele says SeLoger.com is the cornerstone of his company's real estate classifieds business.
"I am convinced Bertrand Gstalder is the perfect choice for starting a new chapter in the success story of the company," Wiele says of the appointment.
"Based on his entrepreneurial track record, vast leadership experience gained as CEO of Fnac.com and familiarity with SeLoger.com, Gstalder is the right person to take the company into an exciting future."
Wiele also took the opportunity to thank Roland Tripard for building and growing SeLoger.com.
"I wish him all the best for the new professional challenges that he would like to take up," he says.
Bertrand Gstalder joined SeLoger.com as General Manger in 2013 with entrepreneurial expertise in multichannel digital strategy, e-commerce and e-media in both B2C and B2B markets.
Prior to his initial role at Seloger.com, Gstalder was CEO of the popular e-commerce platform Fnac.com and before that, of Fnac’s ticketing and travel subsidiary. He also co-founded the review site Cityvox.fr, which was bought by Yelp in 2014.
Founded in 1992 and acquired by European digital publisher Axel Springer SE in 2011, Seloger.com currently presides over around 30 million monthly visits in France.
Over the last years, SeLoger.com has extended its leadership into specialized sub-markets with dedicated brands, such as Belles Demeures, SeLogerNeuf, or Construire. Recent innovations also include LouerVite, the first platform dedicated to rental projects in France.
