iStaging allows real estate agents to produce virtual-reality home tours of available properties just by using its VR cam app, rendering software and iStaging VR Glasses for $60.
To prepare for a tour, agents hold their phone at chest height while in the property and take photos in the home at various spots.
A full seamless tour, complete with a floorplan, is then created using iStaging’s web-based software. The tours can then be shared on multiple listing sites or simply through a link which can be easily shared.
Propospective buyers can inspect dozens of properties at the agent’s office simply by donning an iStaging headset.
Alibaba, the Chinese e-commerce firm worth nearly $250 billion, is among iStaging’s backers and invested $2 million in iStaging in a deal led by venture capital firm, WI Harper, Bloomberg reported in late July.
WI Harper also led a $5 million funding round announced by iStaging this week. Taya Venture Capital also participated in the round.
iStaging’s tech has also been adopted by property managers, rental and lodging businesses, and even hotel owners.
