HouGarden.com, New Zealand’s largest Chinese language real estate portal, has relaunched its desktop and mobile sites as well as its app to include functions the company says are firsts for the country.
HouGarden.com has introduced a Map Searching function for users who prefer to search via maps rather than lists. It allows users view every property in a suburb, filter their search on the map, customise the information, and also look at surrounding properties. HouGarden.com claims other real estate website offers this function.
The Search screen has been completely redesigned to enable users to select multiple suburbs and refine their searches quickly and intuitively. They can also access more information on properties, including school zones and Council rates.
An innovative new feature called Journeys allows property hunters to save the properties they’re interested in, and then have them automatically compiled into a calendar schedule – known s as a Journey – for viewing open homes or auction dates.
Finally, the new version of HouGarden.com offers notifications so when there are updates on properties the user has saved, added to their Journey or is intending to bid on, an alert will be pushed to their screen.
HouGarden CEO Sam Yin says page views regularly top 1,200,000 per month, with up to 170,000 unique visitors, evenly divided between New Zealand and offshore residents.
He says a lot of work has gone into making the website and app even more useful.
“With over well over 100,000 people searching on HouGarden.com every month, our developers have gained unparallelled insights into buyer behaviour and preferences,” he said. “Our new desktop site, mobile site and app give them more of what they want.
“As every real estate professional knows, attracting the right buyers – and plenty of them – is key to obtaining the best result. Our job is to make the whole experience easier, so prospective buyers spend more time on the site, view more properties, and increase their chances of discovering your listing.”
