Diverse Solutions provides plugins for an Internet Data Exchange or IDX, which allows real estate agents to post MLS listings to their websites. The company has agreements with more than 600 MLS organizations in the US.
Zilow cited a change in product strategy as the reason for the sale.
“There are many aspects of Diverse Solutions that have been integrated into Zillow Group, but ultimately, we decided that Diverse Solutions no longer aligns with our broader product strategy,” said Zillow spokeswoman Amanda Woolley in an email.
Market Leader is a subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc. that provides sales and marketing tools to more than 200,000 agents, brokerages, and franchises across the US. and Canada.
Market Leader was also owned by Zillow, but was sold to Constellation Software for US$23million in 2015. In an intertwined series of acquisitions, Trulia acquired Market Leader in 2013 for $355 million. And now Trulia is owned by Zillow.
Diverse Solutions customers will see no change to their product, billing, or support, Market Leader President Scott Smith wrote in an email to users.
