The Central government of Hyperbad has decided to to convert traditional employment exchanges into National Career Service (NCS) centres from computer to mobile.
According to Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Bandaru Dattatreya, the Central government has so far released Rs 200 crore for converting 1,000 employment exchanges into NCS centres.
Under the previous system, job-seekers had to physically visit the employment exchanges for registration, verification of their records and wait for opportunities to come their way. Similarly, the employers had to visit the employment exchanges for posting job vacancies and obtaining a list of eligible candidates with little flexibility. Thus, leaving the job-seekers and employers not satisfied with the results.
Under the new system, the NCS portal provides a nation-wide online platform for job-seekers and employers for job matching in a dynamic, efficient and responsive manner. These centres will have the database of candidates as well as the job-providers.
