Last month Australia-based job platform Gooroo.io launched an outbound sales program targeting toward the employers and recruiters of tech talent in the US, In the first 24 hours, Gooroo scooped up 74 news customers and has since gone from strength to strength.

During the first week of the campaign they exceeded their target of new customer sign-ups by over 150%. Over 540 companies have now joined Gooroo Hirer in the USA, bringing the total to 693 customers when including Australia.

Gooroo CEO Greg Muller says this great result is due in part to how primed and ready the US tech recruitment was for a simpler and more effective process.

“The USA market represents about 30% of the world's demand for tech talent, making it very competitive, time-consuming and costly”, he said.

“Gooroo Hirer has resonated because it offers employers and recruiters with immediate access to qualified candidates, without the need to wait for applications. Essentially, employers can skip the lengthy search process and begin engaging with talent immediately, at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods.”

Despite the success of their platform, Muller asserts that there was no secret marketing strategy, just “a multi-pronged outreach strategy that is incredibly targeted".

“It sounds obvious, but we've spent a lot of time to understand our audience, the problems they face and how we're solving them. What we're seeing is a market responding to what is a very genuine approach,” he said.
