LinkedIn recently announced the appointment of Ziad Rahhal as head of Marketing Solutions for the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) region.
Rahhal transferred from Nimbus B.V., where he held the position of developer of the cross-platform instant messaging app, Nimbuzz. Rahhal has over a decade of experience in sales in online and mobile media, and has worked on several projects in the MENA region, including the Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
In April LinkedIn introduced two new products, expanding the capabilities of the platform, including: Matched Audiences, a set of new targeting capabilities intended especially for brands and Lead Gen Forms, enabling businesses to generate leads from sponsored content on mobile devices.
Also last month, LinkedIn announced that it had crossed the 500 million members milestone across 200 countries, with 22 million members in the MENA region alone.
"With the recent announcement of the 500 million milestone globally, it really couldn't be a better time to join LinkedIn and I am excited to be part of the team," said Rahhal.
"The recently launched features make it even easier for brands to build their presence, reach the right audiences, and then measure programs to optimize their impact. In the complex world of B2B buying, we are looking to help brands not only engage with professionals, but drive, and convert leads. It's exciting to join a platform leading in this field," he concluded.
