Recently introduced Google for Jobs, is an upcoming initiative from Google that will let users search for jobs in their area, with listings pulled from sites like LinkedIn, Facebook, and CareerBuilder.
When Google for Jobs launches, it will act as a kind of mega job-search engine that will enable users to sort through multiple job sites in one go.
"I'm personally enthusiastic for this initiative because it addresses an important need, and perhaps our core competencies as a company," said Google CEO Sundar Pichai on stage at the Google I/O conference in Silicon Valley.
By just searching for something like "retail jobs" in the Google search box, a bunch of local job listings will pop up. The user can then sift by date posted, type of job, experience required, as well as job titles. Soon, Pichai says, users will be able to sort by commute times, too.
