According to an article in USA Today the co-founders of LinkedIn and Zynga have American politics in its crosshairs for disruption.
Mark Pincus and Reid Hoffman revealed their new project, Win the Future (WTF), a political network intended to help "Americans organize around a common platform," according to its website.
Pincus stated in a post: "We need a modern people’s lobby that empowers all of us to choose our leaders and set our agenda. Imagine voting for a President we're truly excited about. Imagine a government that promotes capitalism and civil rights."
Other founders in WTF include former Disney chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg and venture capitalist Fred Wilson.
According to Recode, the pair have contributed $500,000 to the project. In an interview with Recode, Pincus says he views WTF as a "new movement and force within the Democratic Party, which can act like its own virtual party."
The project is pushing two campaigns, leaning on Twitter: one focused on lawmakers who don't support removing President Donald Trump from office, and a second offering every American an engineering degree.
