VCCircle has reported that Indian recruitment portal SkillConnect, has raised an undisclosed amount of investment from Rajasthan Angel Investor Network.
Co-founder Shipra Bhutani said, that the company intends on using this capital to bring on board more companies and institutes, as well as to improve technology infrastructure, hire more people, and enter new geographies.
SkillConnect, run by Capacita Connect Pvt. Ltd, was founded in May of 2016 by IIM Calcutta alumnus Shipra Bhutani and Nimish Bhutani, who both have considerable experience in education, training and skill-building.
The company claims to have 50,000 skilled workers and 10,000 companies registered, and that it caters to as many as 30 sectors.
Rajasthan Angel Investor Network has also invested in companies such as digital media company Blue Box Media, enterprise-tech firm Black Box, and kids content delivery platform Toko Innovations.
Other startups in the HR space that recently raised funds include Darwin Digital Solutions Pvt Ltd, which raised $4 million in Series A funding led by Lightspeed India Partners. Staffing firm TeamLease Services Ltd agreed to acquire a 30% stake in Bengaluru-based Cassius Technologies Pvt. Ltd, which runs job site Freshersworld, and online classifieds firm Quikr acquired blue-collar jobs listing company Babajob Services Pvt. Ltd. Aasaanjobs.
