Online hiring assistant for startups and small to medium sized businesses, Vervoe, has launched in the U.S. with a funding round of $1 million.
Vervoe was co-founded by Australian entrepreneurs Omer Molad and David Weinberg. The driving force behind Vervoe was Molad and Weinberg's own frustration which they experienced with outdated hiring processes and models. The pair's goal was to make the service into a speedy and seamless automated interviewing process, allowing candidates to show their skills and style through online simulations.
According to a new report from Glassdoor, the time it takes to hire around the globe has risen to 24 days thus far in 2017. Vervoe's aim is to enable companies (mostly small to medium sized, without an HR department or recruiter) to fill a position within a few days, instead of expending resources over multiple weeks.
The platform provides companies with confidence that they are asking candidates the right questions, even for roles they do not have expertise in. Prior to launch, Vervoe has been working with a number of fast-growing startups as well as traditional businesses in the U.S. to solve their hiring needs, and its customer base is growing rapidly.

Prior to co-founding Vervoe with Weinberg, Molad led a corporate finance solutions team of 25 people at National Australia Bank, led an international emergency response program at Red Cross, and served as a platoon commander in Israel's Defence Forces.
"Already we have helped the non-technical founder of a fashion startup hire a data scientist and a venture-backed augmented reality startup hire a developer, as well as working with more traditional businesses to hire sales reps, finance partners and graphic designers," concluded Molad.
