The State of Arizona is now partnering with Uber to help former inmates get to work.
Recently, Governor Doug Ducey’s office announced Arizona has started an “Uber for Jobs” program. The initiative is funded through a $5,000 donation from Uber and an equal match from the state.
The program is designed to offer former inmates rides to job interviews or the first day of work.
"Without the proper support networks in place, finding a job and being able to keep it become that much harder," said Governor Ducey. "We are committed to providing real second chance opportunities to those who have paid their debt to society..."
