The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) will launch a CV/job portal (www.nyscjobs.org ) in Lagos on December 8, 2017.
The portal would help employers find corps members with requisite skills and qualifications that match their needs.
The Lagos State NYSC Coordinator, Prince Mohammed Momoh told The Nation in an interview last Thursday at the Swearing in of 2,482 Batch B corps members that the portal was approved by the NYSC Director-General, Brig-Gen Sule Kazaure, after a test run.
“We piloted a job portal in Lagos. After perfecting it, we have deployed it. It has been approved by the DG ansd should be launched in the course of the year,” he said.
Throwing more light on features of the portal, Mrs Rachael Idaewor, Assistant Director, Skill Acquisition Entrepreneurship Development (SAED), said corps members can upload their written and video Curriculum Vitae onto the portal and update them as their careers progress.
“The system is designed to connect all recruiters (multi-nationals, large, medium & small), to authentic CV’s of Nigerian graduates. The icing on the cake is the fact that the recruiters can also watch the candidates speak to them via the NYSC Video CV,” she said.
