German media reports, the German auto platform Auto.de, which used to belong to Unister GmbH, has been sold to Vicus Media for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Leipzig, Vicus Media GmbH, a company of Vicus Group AG, has taken over one of the largest German autoportals, the Internet platform auto.de, from the insolvency mass of the Unister Group.
In addition to the domain, Vicus has acquired additional assets necessary to operate the portal, including patents, designs, licenses and databases.
The transfer has already taken place and completed. Both parties have decided to not disclose details regarding the transaction or the agreed upon price.
The aim of the takeover is to realign the existing business with the aim of expanding the existing Automarktsplatz, the extensive Automagazin to provide financing, lease agreements, insurance, carharing, Electromobility and the integration of further topics on the subject of the car and thus gradually expand the range.
