Australian property portal Domain has added a real-time messaging tool to its smartphone app to allow agents to interact faster with house hunters and retain leads.
Domain Chat enables agents to instantly engage in one-on-one conversations with home buyers and share documents directly through the Domain app.
Agents can receive real-time leads on the go in a faster manner than by email, helping to decrease the time between enquiry and offer.
“In today’s technology-driven culture, we expect constant and convenient communication, whether we’re chatting with friends or buying a home,” said Domain’s Chief Product Officer Damon Pezaro.
“Real-time conversations on mobile devices have become the norm, and we’re hoping to bring this to the property industry with Domain Chat.”
Pezaro said chat and messaging platforms have been the fastest-growing online behaviour; nearly doubling users over the past two years and replacing social networks as the most popular way to communicate.
He said Domain already had hundreds of agents on the platform and the feedback had been positive.
“Domain Chat has the power to completely revolutionise the consumer-agent communication process, helping to make it a lot smoother and easier for everyone involved,” he said.
