Former Allhomes CEO Tim White has announced he will join the board of Digital Classifieds Group (DCG), which owns major portals within Cambodia, Papua New Guinea and Fiji.
White has spent the past 18 months running the allhomes and Domain platforms for the ACT and surrounding regions, but will now fund and guide emerging tech businesses such as DCG.
DCG, founded by Australian entrepreneurs Mathew Care and James Rodda, owns online real estate portals in Cambodia, Papua New Guinea and Fiji through its websites realestate.com.kh, hausples.com.pg and property.com.fj.
It also owns the leading general classifieds websites in Papua New Guinea and Fiji with the websites marketmeri.com and market.com.fj, and the number two real estate portal in Papua New Guinea – pngbuynrent.com.
White says the company is focussed on targeting digital markets, and he was drawn to the company because of its credentials and potential.
“I’ve been really impressed by the founders of DCG,” said White.
“They have gained market-leading traction across classifieds websites in a number of rapidly expanding markets.
“They have some exciting developments in play and I look forward to assisting rolling these out.”
Care said he and Rodda were “absolutely delighted” to welcome White to the DCG board.
“Tim’s expertise and proven track record at both allhomes and Domain make him a fantastic asset for DCG,” he said.
“Tim and I have already commenced working through a high-level review of our operations and his insights are proving invaluable. I’m very confident that with Tim’s input DCG will continue its rapid growth and push into new markets.”
