Australian property portal Realestate.com.au has launched its latest video content series which features actors playing suburbs at a speed dating night.
It’s definitely as quirky as it sounds.
Local actors take on the characteristics of their particular suburb and the viewer gets to speed date with them.
There’s ‘Nappy Valley’ Gungahlin, hipster paradise Braddon, the tougher suburb of Charnwood, as well as Gordon, the suburb so far south it’s almost classed as the next town.
Dedicated ACT marketing manager, Bree Winchester said the campaign was designed to appeal to Canberran’s acute sense of self-parody.
“realestate.com.au is a national brand but we recognise that property is largely a local proposition,” he said.
“While we have the most visits nationwide2, we’ve got our feet on the ground locally and know what makes Canberrans tick.”
Future romantic encounters are planned with Yarralumla, NewActon, O’Connor and Barton.
The content series follows Realestate.com.au parent company REA Group’s video series in August featuring Australian renovators Three Birds.
