An online customer engagement tool aimed at supporting licensed real estate agents in the digital arena will be used in New Zealand's first online property auction.
Angie Zingel is a director at PropFi.NZ and says the propfi.auction website is the next generation online property marketplace and software platform to complement current real estate business processes.
Zingel says the portal is designed to empower real estate agencies, agents, salespeople, vendors, buyers and auctioneers in New Zealand and ultimately worldwide.
“Our focus is on introducing innovative technology into New Zealand’s real estate sector and inspiring real estate agents to embrace change that will benefit the industry across the board," she says.
Rodney Fong will conduct the auction through Ray White Tauranga and says the virtual sale allows for an unconventional bidding process set to change existing conventions. He says it's a a logical progression in how you buy and sell houses.
“From a compliance point of view it is really good,” he notes.
While the platform is new, Mr Fong believes propfi.auction will be an efficient tool that provides greater potential to buy and sell property both locally and in the international market, thanks to the wider reach.
The platform is the result of extensive research and development, alongside collaboration with top industry minds across technology, real estate, finance and legal sectors.
“We’ve collaborated with accountants KPMG, lawyers Minter Ellison Rudd Watts and RealMe; while the platform is powered by Microsoft to ensure a safe, transparent and reliable platform people can trust,” Zingel says.
