U.S.real estate technology company Opendoor is venturing into the mobile market and has recently announced the launch of its app for iPhone and Android customers.
The apps let buyers peruse Opendoor’s 400 listings, inspect them and connect with the startup for a “seamless purchase process.”
Opendoor launched in 2014 and is pioneering online offers, 24-7 open houses and home purchase guarantees. It claims users can find a home within close vicinity, inspect the home at anytime and without the hassle of listings and showings.
The company, which serves as a property owner and a listing brokerage, only makes its own listings searchable in the app. Inman reports that the business has opted not to tap Internet Data Exchange (IDX) feeds from MLSs to serve up properties listed by other brokerages.
