What would life on Mars be like in the year 2060? Berlin property portal ImmobilienScout24 gives you a glimpse into the future with a special 3D penthouse they've developed to coincide with the launch of the new Ron Howard film.
'Mars' is a 6-part documentary series produced by National Geographic and to celebrate its launch, digital real estate marketplace ImmobilienScout 24 have developed a specially-designed exposé for viewers to experience a 360° tour of a future property on Mars.
Digital scavenger hunt to Mars
In keeping with the theme of Howard's new film, ImmoScout24 will attempt to creatively address a number of questions related to space exploration via a cross-media scavenger hunt.
The trip to the future begins on the Scout24 Facebookpage. The traveler then arrives at the AutoScout24 online marketplace where the user will find a rocket for their journey. Once they've hopped on board and made it to the Red Planet, they can then take a virtual tour of the Mars property at ImmobilienScout24 - those with smartphones will even be able to inspect the property with VR glasses.
The head of brand at ImmobilienScout24, Christina Daniel, says the collaboration between the property portal and National Geographic allows the the company to showcase its technological nous.
"ImmoScout24 is a digital company driven by innovation. We can show our developments in prop tech and VR technology; thus building a bridge to the exciting future topic of Life on Mars," Daniel said.
Karin Zipperling, Director of Marketing & Creative Services at Fox Networks Group Germany, said the collaboration with ImmoScout24 will give users an interactive experience.
"The documentary series 'Mars' by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer is a fascinating mix of a science documentary and a fictional vision of the future," she said.
"Our innovative cooperation with Scout24 will allow all users and fans to experience the colonization of the Red Planet interactively."
