Home Bay Technologies Inc. announced today Chris Crocker has joined the company as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.
As former Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Zillow and Chief Operating Officer at Pacific Sotheby's, Crocker brings more than 20 years' experience in technology and real estate. In addition to building and strengthening Home Bay's relationships with existing partners, Crocker will assume executive oversight for creating new partnerships and bringing more value to consumers.
"We're thrilled for Chris to join the Home Bay team. We've admired Chris for his leadership as well as his perspective and approach in advocating and leveraging technology to help partners," said Home Bay co-founder Tom Owen. "We place tremendous value on fostering great partnerships and building innovative products that support our partners. Chris is the right choice to lead this critical role."
"It's no secret that consumers are frustrated with high commissions and the archaic process to transact a property. You shouldn't have to give up six percent of your equity to sell your home. Home Bay delivers a better transaction experience at a small fraction of the cost of a traditional broker," said Crocker. "To date, Home Bay has already saved consumers over $7.5M in commissions. We will extend the innovation in the Home Bay technology platform to integrate mortgage, title, escrow and other related services into a better and more holistic experience for our customers."
Crocker served as Vice President of Partnerships at Zillow from 2012 to 2015. He served as Chief Operating Officer of Pacific Sotheby's from 2015 through September 2017.
