ShweProperty sees traffic spike thanks to new web platform

ShweProperty.com, one of Myanmar’s leading online real estate groups, has recently launched a new website platform for the Myanmar market and is already witnessing a jump in web traffic and sales enquiries.

The recently-launched site includes a new user interface, to better target both the local and international market.

Justin Sway, CEO of ShweProperty.com, says careful execution of the strategy has paid off for the group.

“The project took around 6 months in the planning, development and integration stages and we are extremely delighted with the significant increase in organic and direct traffic and sales enquires; we can literally see the outstanding results in just the first week," Sway comments.

He adds that a significant spike in traffic signups and leads in the first week was the result of ongoing planning.

"The site's success, to be honest, was combined with an effective offline and online marketing campaign, through 6 months of continuous events, Shwe Property journals and especially cleaning / enhancing our content, photos, the user interface, and installation of online chat," he says.

"We believe it is by far the most sophisticated front and back-end solution in the Myanmar market."

User behaviour

Six months ago Shwe Property started a major offline survey campaign across the country to discover what users most-wanted from a property portal, with the most consistent feedback being: high-quality listings and a world-class user friendly user interface.

The Shwe Property.com new release has implemented all those features and more, with a sophisticated back-end CRM and lead routing system that re-directs the all sales inquiries within 7 minutes of the user sending the request.

“Our goal is for every sales inquiry to have a qualification system, so if an agent does not respond within 7 minutes of the inquiry, it passes to our call center and is logged for follow up” says Kevin Goos, Managing Director of Shwe Property.com

A 3.0 business model

According to Sway, the new website overhaul supports the Shweproperty.com 3.0 portal business model – it goes to the next level and combines a hybrid property portal business fully integrated into a professional real estate organization.

“In Myanmar, we provide our loyal agents and developers with multiple upsell services, including lead management, integrated sales and marketing services – so that we can focus purely on increased transaction results," Sway says.

The Shweproperty.com team is comprised of local and international staff and media consultants. They maximize their reach through both offline and online marketing and their online platform has developed a real-time database of property seekers. The group, including JobNet.com.mm (Myanmar’s leading Job site) have in total 127 full time staff.
