The new strategy that the Provincial Taxpayers Union of Tungurahua will apply to improve the service offered to citizens will be a mobile app for smartphones, through which users will have the option to get a unit more quickly and safely.
Fedo Taxi is in the final phase of development, and once this stage is completed, it will begin to spread its benefits to professionals taxi drivers of the Provincial Union.
Ubaldo Medina, president of the Provincial Union, said that this strategy will be implemented with the aim of keeping pace with technology and to not lose pace in competition with other apps such as Uber, Cabify or Easy Taxi, which already work in several cities of the country like Quito, Guayaquil, and Ibarra.
"We want users to maintain their trust in us and not in other international corporations. Our goal is to now improve our service and technology which in turn should render many benefits for us," said Medina.
The application will be available for both Android and Apple for free, and users must be connected to the Internet to be able to use it.
