HomeNet Automotive is planning to relaunch and re-brand themselves in hopes of better helping their partners and dealers to grow their internet based car merchandising businesses.
"It's becoming increasingly important for dealers to showcase their online vehicle listings in the content-rich manner today's customers expect, and in the places where they shop," says John Hensman, VP, General Manager of HomeNet. "This means dealers need to take their online merchandising to the next level-with highly impactful and visible listings that include compelling photos, comments, pricing, and new technology like videos and 360-degree photos. That's where HomeNet comes in."
Currently, HomeNet's platform is connecting companies in the industry with dealerships and they facilitate and process 7.8 million cars every day. This expansive influence allows HomeNet the opportunity to highlight a dealer's inventory, companies with internet marketing campaigns, OEMS, and other service providers.
"HomeNet has quietly become the retail automotive industry's primary pipeline for getting vehicles listed online efficiently and merchandised the way today's customers expect," says Randy Kobat, Senior Vice President. "In today's margin-compressed market, it's imperative for dealers to turn inventory quickly to maximize profitability. HomeNet's merchandising services use smart automation to help dealers get their inventory in front of the market faster, with less manual effort."
As HomeNet pushes forward with their re-brand, dealers will find HomeNet stepping up and playing a bigger role by providing more services to assist dealerships with whatever they may need.
"We attribute much of our success to our online presence, which has grown over the last several years," says Jason Walter, Executive Manager of Ross Downing Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac, "From the basics of backend merchandising to the actual look and feel of the front-end, HomeNet makes it happen. This kind of flexibility and control is what we feel has allowed us to give our customers a better online experience."
